SHIPPING, DELIVERY AND RISK
1. ORDER PROCESSING
1.1. All orders placed through the Bio-Pep platform are subject to verification and acceptance.
1.2. Once payment has been successfully received and cleared, orders will ordinarily be processed within one (1) to three (3) business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
1.3. Processing times may be extended during periods of high order volume, promotional campaigns, stock verification, or operational circumstances beyond Bio-Pep’s reasonable control.
2. DISPATCH AND DELIVERY
2.1. Upon processing, orders will be dispatched using Bio-Pep’s nominated courier or logistics service providers.
2.2. Estimated delivery timeframes may vary depending on the delivery address, courier routes, operational capacity of the courier, and the geographic location within the Republic of South Africa.
2.3. Any delivery timeframe communicated by Bio-Pep is an estimate only and shall not constitute a guarantee of delivery within a specific period.
3. TRACKING AND SHIPMENT CONFIRMATION
3.1. Once an order has been dispatched, the customer will be provided with shipment confirmation and, where available, a tracking number enabling the customer to monitor the progress of the delivery through the relevant courier’s tracking system.
4. TRANSFER OF RISK
4.1. Risk in the goods shall pass to the purchaser upon dispatch of the goods from Bio-Pep’s premises or fulfilment facility to the appointed courier or carrier.
4.2. From the moment of dispatch, the purchaser assumes all risk of loss, damage, delay, or destruction of the goods in transit, notwithstanding that ownership may transfer at a different time if otherwise agreed.
5. COURIER DELAYS AND THIRD-PARTY CARRIERS
5.1. Bio-Pep utilises independent third-party courier and logistics service providers for delivery.
5.2. Bio-Pep shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, loss or damage occurring during transit once the goods have been handed to the courier, including but not limited to delays caused by courier operational issues, weather conditions, strikes, public disturbances, customs processes, or other circumstances beyond Bio-Pep’s reasonable control.
6. CUSTOMER DELIVERY INFORMATION
6.1. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all delivery information provided at the time of order placement is accurate, complete and accessible for delivery purposes.
6.2. Bio-Pep shall not be responsible for failed deliveries, delays, or additional costs resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated delivery details supplied by the customer.
7. FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
7.1. Where delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information, absence of the recipient, restricted access, or any circumstance attributable to the customer, the courier may return the goods to Bio-Pep or attempt redelivery.
7.2. Any additional delivery, storage, or administrative costs incurred as a result of such failed delivery attempts may be charged to the customer.
8. INSPECTION UPON DELIVERY
8.1. Customers are encouraged to inspect the goods upon receipt and report any visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies to Bio-Pep within a reasonable period after delivery.
8.2. Failure to notify Bio-Pep of such issues within a reasonable time may affect the customer’s ability to claim against the courier or request remedial action.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable South African law, Bio-Pep shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from delivery delays or transit-related issues once the goods have been dispatched to the courier.
10. FORCE MAJEURE
10.1. Bio-Pep shall not be deemed to be in breach of these terms where delays in dispatch or delivery arise from force majeure events, including but not limited to acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, transport disruptions, pandemics, governmental restrictions, or any event beyond Bio-Pep’s reasonable control.
